Michele Michaelian

Michele Michaelian, Recovery Coordinator for The Virginia Conference United Methodist Church, was raised in Richmond and now lives in Virginia Beach with her husband, Paul, a former PGA Golf Professional.  Together, they are very active in missions and outreach at their church, Courthouse Community UMC.  Michele has served and lead many mission teams including Katrina response, Super Storm Sandy, Hurricane Irene & Nashville floods.  All of these experiences have had a significant impact on her life and faith.  Being the Hurricane Matthew Recovery Coordinator has given Michele the opportunity to engage with people from all across our local area and from all walks of life.

When she’s not doing disaster work, Michele fills all of her spare time with raising a family and working full-time.  Her son Kyle is a VCU grad and a police officer in Fairfax. Michele’s son Ross is starting his freshman year at Grove City College and our daughter Caroline is starting her senior year at Salem High School.  Michele enjoy Philadelphia Eagles football, spending time with my disaster-junkie friends, and seeing what plans God has for her.
